Is the crowd mostly in our favor?

Being UK and Bama fans, you’d think they’d have a “fuck Tennessee” mindset right about now.

I think I'd rather see too many passes

than too few.

Then again, I know very little about basketball strategy.

by Juco All-American on Mar 12, 2010 4:23 PM EST up reply actions

I couldn't disagree more...

Rod Barnes’ offense was centered around too many passes.

I know he was in a tough spot, but with time running out I would have preferred a wild shot over that. Probably just didn’t know how much time was left (well, obviously not).

by ballin11 on Mar 12, 2010 4:24 PM EST up reply actions

Ok...

I guess I was misleading with my statement.

What I meant is that I’d rather have someone play unselfishly than play Trevor Gaskins ball circa 2007 to early 2010.

Yeah figured that out when i looked at UT's stats...

has Tatum 5-7 from the field with 1 minute of PT. Dont think anyone’s that efficient.

by ThemRebsIsHellDontThey on Mar 12, 2010 5:06 PM EST up reply actions

Incorrect

But he has been in foul trouble. Played more than a minute, though.

53-51 vols

after we miss two more fts..

by ballin11 on Mar 12, 2010 5:09 PM EST reply actions

Murphy REALLY needs to develop his right hand...

He could have finished that layup and gotten a possible and one (though he definitely would have missed the free throw) if he could use his right hand at all.

Our 40% free throw shooting is atrocious at this point, obviously. I don’t know how a team can be that poor from the line.

by bball1984 on Mar 12, 2010 5:10 PM EST reply actions

Yeah, but...

Buckner needs to learn to either take a charge, foul hard, or get out of the way. That is the third time this game he has tried to take a charge like that, and it has not worked.

by bball1984 on Mar 12, 2010 5:14 PM EST up reply actions

UGGGH!

That had so much potential!

"HOT BOUDIN! COOOOOLD COUS COUS, COME ON TIGAHS, PUSH PUSH PUSH!"

by David. on Mar 12, 2010 5:14 PM EST reply actions

Down 5....

And i wonder why.
Oh, wait I know:

Free throws: us 7-17; ut 13-17.

I’m not good at math, but…

by ballin11 on Mar 12, 2010 5:16 PM EST reply actions

I will never understand...

how some players just can’t hit free throws. Shooting 40% at the line is embarrassing really. JP Prince is a horrible shooter but even he has hit almost all his FT’s today.

by bball1984 on Mar 12, 2010 5:17 PM EST up reply actions

It is time...

for Terrico and Chris to really step up and carry us down the stretch. This game is there for the taking. As poorly as we have shot free throws and turned the ball over at inopportune times, we still are right there.

by bball1984 on Mar 12, 2010 5:16 PM EST reply actions

Terrico

wide open 15 footer…. no good.

by Juco All-American on Mar 12, 2010 5:18 PM EST reply actions

Not unless he learns to make it consistently...

but I give him credit. At least he knows to pull up and shoot it instead of driving to the rack with his head down and barreling over somebody like most of our guys do.

by bball1984 on Mar 12, 2010 5:21 PM EST up reply actions

I did see....

A mock draft yesterday that still had Terrico as a first-round draft pick, so obviously some scouts still think he has the goods to make it as a star in the league.

by bball1984 on Mar 12, 2010 5:22 PM EST up reply actions

Another turnover by Warren..

you hate to see that out of your PG. He has done well this year except against TN. Pearl obviously has seen some things on film that he can take advantage of with CW.

by bball1984 on Mar 12, 2010 5:23 PM EST reply actions

And yet another turnover leading to a bucket....

Can’t do that against a team like the Vols. CW has a 1:4 assist to turnover ratio, which obviously hurts. It is actually impressive we are within single digits with all the turnovers and missed FT’s.

by bball1984 on Mar 12, 2010 5:27 PM EST reply actions

Which further proves the theory...

that he needs to score 25-30 points per game to validate his minutes.

by bball1984 on Mar 12, 2010 5:28 PM EST up reply actions

0 fgs...

in over 4 minutes. very typical of this team.

by ballin11 on Mar 12, 2010 5:31 PM EST reply actions

can we foul sooner and let warren or graham shoot 3s????

instead of Gaskins or some other dumb shot at this point

These idiots are talking about us still having a shot.

by ballin11 on Mar 12, 2010 5:45 PM EST reply actions

We need to hire

a Coach of Free Throwing because it’s obvious Kennedy can’t coach that. When does football start?
