Rebel Power
We all knew the baseball rebs would have a good offense this year, but I gotta say I am impressed so far. I mean we have eleven bombs in 6 games, and we are spreading the love. Of course David Phillips will cool off, but you gotta think that guys like Matt Snyder, Matt Smith, and even Mike Snyder will continue to hit the ball for power. Also, who would have thought that Zach Miller would be leading the team in rbis?
This will be a fun team to watch all year. If the pitching can continue to improve and the dominant guys stay dominant, then this team could be very dangerous come postseason. I wouldn't wanna be the guy trying to shut this team out. We got a midweek game with Memphis that we should take care of, but the first real test of the year comes against hullabaloo Tulane. This will show the baseball squad and all the fans where this team is. However, the next weekend will be a blast when the Louisville Cardinals come to Oxford with ole coach. Exciting year ahead. Come out and support the baseball team.

Tulane and Louisville should really be the
barometers for this team’s ability. I’m still nervous about pitching but the offense has been fine so far.

Johnny Rebs...
That is a retarded name. Please leave. No one here wants another peckerwood using a FUCKING JOKE to start another debate over a topic that everyone is tired of discussing.
So no, don’t stay around and use Johnny Reb is a vain repetitive attempt to make yourself look like a warrior for Southern heritage. Don’t hang out and use hip words like ‘bro’ so that you and the rest of your closet-queer frat brothers can laugh at whatever pedantic and uninspired joke you may or may not have though of. You sir are unfunny, unoriginal, and you raise nonlogical points of contention that no one here wants to discuss.
If you would like to talk about the chances of our baseball team this season, the failure of our hope to make it to the Dance, or any of the other various and sundry related sports topics please do so. If not, well frankly fuck you and if you have any friends fuck them too.

I said something similar on the weekend thread i think.
Wasn’t sure how we were going to develop but there seemed to be a LOT of question marks on there.
2/3 of our weekend rotation is untested, not counting our weekday starter.
Its been exciting so far, hope we can continue with our pitching during the SEC season.
Only made the Saturday game but hope to be back for 2 out of the 3 UL games. (I showed up in the 8th or so on Friday when it was already a laugher)
