New Ole Miss mascot vote tomorrow

And if you're a student who will be voting, you need to know what you're voting for.

If you go in there all pissy and whiny and vote "NO" just because you're stubborn and think you're proving a point, you better realize what you are giving up with your "NO" vote.

HEAR THIS LOUDLY: A new mascot will be decided upon, period. Will it be by the student body or by the administration? This is a decision that affects Ole Miss for the rest of its existence. Think about that. The new mascot will represent our beloved University from the time it is decided upon.

Do you as a student want to be a part of that process and have a say in the decision? If you do then you should vote "YES".

Do you want to leave it totally 100% up to the administration to decide what the mascot will be? If you do, then vote "NO".

Either way, we're getting a new mascot. Don't let the administration be the lone deciding body as to what that mascot will be. Vote "YES"!

A good voter is a well informed voter.

Also, to clarify the lies and misinformation being spread by a certain "ohnoz! i can't haz colonel reb?" group, this will not now or ever change the name of the teams. It will still be "Ole Miss REBELS".

I didn’t realize by voting no we were actually voting yes to the administration making the mascot decision.

the daily mississipian aka “the daily mistake” had the whole front page filled with information regarding the mascot decision. With that and the Ackbar movement I believe it’s gonna happen.

Yeah but this whole Ackbar thing is ridiculous.

If colonel rebel was a recruiting problem think how big of a problem that will be. Who is going to want to play under a mascot that represents the likes of star wars?

It’s not actually going to happen. It’s just some people poking fun at the whole situation by being a little absurd. It makes me laugh and it’s gotten us some pretty funny press so, I’ll take it.

the obvious, that the whole Admiral Ackbar thing is a joke to make a point.. some people don’t get it.

DAMN IT TO HELL!!! I WAS going to say something nice about LSU... but my clock ran out like theirs did against Ole Miss and Penn State. Dumb coonasses. I bet if they tied corndogs to the clock, they'd keep a better eye on it. heh.
