The Meat of Things: Basketball Edition

Let's cut right to it: this Ole Miss team is overrated.

Andy Kennedy is often baffling with decisions (e.g. taking Gaskins out when he single-handedly changed the defensive complexion of our team in the first half or not playing Buckner when he was the only one who could slow Varnardo).

Chris Warren and Terrico White too often disappear from the game.

Eniel Polynice cannot shoot.

The Rebels still refuse to drive the ball on offense, which if not corrected, will continue to lead to losses or close games when it is not necessary.

Refs seem to love Varnado for no damn good reason...and they hate the Rebels.

Tired yet?  So am I.

Let's get after what's really bugging me:

Our fans SUCK!  I am embarrassed to be an Ole Miss Rebel when I go to the Tad Pad with that group of fans.  While the first half was probably one of the best - if not the best - I have seen in seven years, our fans gave away our home court advantage in the second.  State fans cheering louder than us when our team really needs us?  Disgusting.

The truth is that a team needs to have good home support in this conference, and our team does not.  I cannot apologize for letting down the Rebels today because I no longer have a voice and I am old (see: married), but there are a lot of "fans" and "students" who need to think about why the hell they come to basketball games before they go to another one.

Kisses, I'm out.
