Alright, game just got started. SCar up 2-0.
Juco and One Man are in the Tad Pad right now so it’ll likely be just me.

Devon Downey with a hand check this early?
That’s a bit odd.

AR, how are you getting your Rebel experience?
I’m using ESPN 360 right now. Juco and One Man (and I’m assuming Ivory) are in the Tad Pad.

No room to drive there, buddy.

Wait, you mean Downey scores the teardrop jumper when
Gaskins covers him? Hurh?!

Ghost,
…I was looking at the stats from games previous, and notice that most of the other teams we play, seem to have a “20 point” guy. I know Warren is our guy to do that, but it just feels that the best teams have that guy that can change a game and go for 20-25 points a game. Do we have anyone else that can do that for us?
Warren looking solid
Juco and One Man says the students are out in force, the other elements of the crowd though… not so much.

We have to take advantage
of the only team smaller than us in the SEC

I'm glad
We took Gaskins off of Downey… that shit wasn’t working.
We actually look good rebounding
I had forgotten you were allowed to do that
Terrico is on
He and Warren are on tonight
If they stay on, this shit will be over by half.

I'm hoping
But let’s face it…. probably not going to happen. Or if it does we will just let them back in the game.

Offensive movement
We are actually doing it. I like that, we are really finding the weaknesses in the South Carolina defense.
Warren rattles another three home.
They’re giving him a lot of room for some reason.

The ESPN folks just showed some footage inside the new BPF.
That’s a very badass building we’ve got.

Yeah
It looks like the Patriot Center at Prep. Except nicer. But only marginally.

Buckner
Is hustling his ass off… Nice block and save… Now rebound.
The hell, basket? Toilet bowl for Warren that rolled out.
From threeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Gaskins
I used to love him. Now he just seems like a Huertas that doesn’t score, but still makes baffling decisions with the ball. I remember when he mostly made his threes.
Amazing first half...
Shots of the BPF looked great too

WTF
Are the playing in the Tad Pad right now? On the tee vee it sounds like some sort of acoustic power ballad bullshit. Who let Greg Hardy be in charge of the pump up music?
Hustle
Holloway has it… padding his rebound stats I guess
I love it
when we put four on the perimeter and leave our 5 in the high post. Its a great offensive set for us. We can either finish the drive or dish it to the 5 man coming free after hiss man tries to help out.
We got cold
But South Carolina didn’t show up, so it alright for now.
When did Crantson stop making threes?
Last year I don’t remember him missing very many at all. I was always very impressed by the way he shot 3’s, but this season I’ve yet to see him make one.
Wow, we're playing weak ball right now.

That wasn't actually us
It was Bizarro Ole Miss. Unfortunately Superman tracked them down and sent them back to the Bizzaro world they came from.

Cramps in the Middle of SEC Basketball = Not Okay
That’s a conditioning problem in my opinion.
If it’s the first football game when it’s 100+ degrees on the field and you have cramps it’s understandable. If it’s a basketball game in mid-January? Not so much.

I'd like to say I didn't expect this
But I feel like its the problem with AK teams. I love the way his teams play for about half of the game. They can be as electrifying and exciting as anyone in the nation. But the other half of the game is one long scoring drought, punctuated by the occasional free throw.
by Mitch Planey on Jan 20, 2010 10:22 PM EST up reply actions
Polyniece just got schooled by Downey
Not something I’ve ever seen before… too bad he couldn’t finish (that last part was schadenfraude).
Great
We manage a rebound only to go out of bounds.
Terrico with the airball
A great metaphor for our second half.
Really?!?!?
When did Chris Warren forget how to beat the press? Was that part of his brain located in his ACL?
Ugh
My neighbors are annoying the crap out of me. I have an accounting test tomorrow on stuff my professor hasn’t even taught. I’ve given up sugar which is making me extremely irritable. And now we’re playing like THIS?
If we blow this game I worry for the safety of the people in my immediate vicinity.
How we are still up 9...
Mystifies me completely. South Carolina is unimpressive, the should have at least tied us by now. Luckily we seem to have come back to life.
Stats at the TO
Downey has 18 points:
The rest of the SC starters – 20
CW – 15/1/4
TW – 11/4/3
MH – 10/11/2 stl
I like seeing us spread the ball around.
That's his 5th double-double of the season thus far.
Murph, that is.

Buckner
Has done a great job changing shots tonight. Downey keeps having to rely on the teardrop, and its not falling for him right now.
We needed that.
Let’s go to Red Stick and get a win!

I was there.
I was the one being crude.
Also, I was sticking up for Cranston until he passed it right to the Carolina dude.
