Well, you gotta think this is gonna help Jevan's Heisman chances...
In other news, Bama is legit. Discuss.

I wasn't impressed.
Bama’s D whipped a over-rated Va Tech Offense and Va Tech’s defense just wore down.
Granted...
I only watched the end of this one (i.e. the last 6 min.), but Bama looked good. I was not worried about them before, but they looked scary for the last 6 min.
I would say Bama deserves the hype. Good Lord that evil piece of shit Saban can coach defense.
Pig Pen this here's Rubber Duck, and I'm about to put the hammer down.
Agreed, that defense was sick. The score is really deceptive in regards to the amount of offense that Va Tech was able to produce.

Also, I wonder if homegirl was at the game:

I'll bite
because I’m sitting in my Memphis hotel room swilling whiskey to prepare for a.m. bloody marys, having watched the Tide closely & praying fervently for their national humiliation, if not obliteration. I’m kidding – I did pray for their obliteration. But the Ghost is right – Tide is legit. Two stud running backs, and their QB grew up before our very eyes. On the brighter side, two teams (out of seven) ranked higher than Ole Miss lost today. And a third – Ohio State – sucked, nearly getting their deck swabbed by Navy. A good night, and time enough to worry about October 10.

Final score predictions for tomorrow?
And who do you think will make some big plays?

Our offense >>>>> VA Tech's offense
Our game with Alabama will be much closer.

Watched this on Beale, still there, but they are good and when we play it will be the biggest game of the year to that point. Can’t wait. Aldo forger the sooners and that rabbit toothed Sam Bradford.

Was a nice day of football.
SO glad it’s here! Loved to see Oklahoma go down. Was hoping for LSU and Bama to go down as well. SEC representing though.. all SEC teams have won their first game except Georgia.. and Ole Miss but we will fix that tomorrow. HOTTY TODDY!!

FINS to the Left and Right
Rebels get to unveil the Defense that will get us to HOTLANTA -TAKE ONE TO THE HOUSE POWE -YOU BIG SEXY BEAST
Bama's defense makes me a little more nervous than before
But I’m still waiting to watch the Rebels. That will make it a bit more clear what we’re dealing with.
To be an optimist in all of this, I think that Bama showing up the way they did is great for the Rebs. ESPN and the like are now convinced that Bama is the top of the SEC West. They think the Ole Miss game will be good, but that Bama is superior in almost all aspects. That takes us back to a more familiar position and may help keep us from getting too cocky.

LSU will be better than Ole Miss this season too.
They will be 1 of the 3 losses the Rebels have at home this season.
Christopher Martin Gonzalez
Yeah. LSU's defense was nuts.
They only gave up 478 yards of offense to Washington.
Shaking in my boots.

Outside of Jake Locker, U-dub has ZERO proven offensive talent,
but you couldn’t tell that last night against the revered John Chavis defensive scheme. Hell even LSU’s OL looked mediocre. There were a ton of big plays which Washington bid for that they would have gotten had they had some SEC-caliber talent. What comes to mind right away are some blitzes Jefferson escaped (not gonna happen against Ole Miss or Bama) and some jump-ball type passes (Shay Hodge or Julio would have snagged some of these passes with ease; Locker’s receivers got boxed out and had to awkwardly bid for the ball).

The only thing that suprised me last night...
was the verbal fellatio that Herbstreet and Musbuger continuously performed on Alabama. They were ready to hand them the SEC West, if not the entire conference, based on the defense’s performance against a mediocre VT offense.
Our offense will be another beast altogether (see “QB play”), particularly if we run misdirections that cause their LBs and secondary to over pursue.
Musburger is a DOUCHE
He actually said that Saban got the idea for the wildcat formation from the Miami Dolphins! What an uninformed piece of shit he is!
How about that Hiesman race?
Ghost,
Tell us all again how Sam Bradford going down helps Jevan Snead’s chances of competing for the Hiesman.
If his O-line continues to pass-block like they did yesterday, I would have to agree, because he would be the only QB in div. 1 history to do it without any blocking.
And wow! That D-line was dominating wasn’t it? Playing against that mighty Memphis O-line and that awesome RB they have. Holy cow!
You guys are great.
Christopher Martin Gonzalez
Gonzo,
Ghost was kidding. We have all recognized that Jevan has no chance at the Heisman. I even wrote a post about it, but I’m too lazy to find that right now.

Here's a prediction for you.
Ryan Mallett will be the best passing QB in the SEC this season.
He will be the best passing QB in the nation next season.
Christopher Martin Gonzalez
I think Team Speed Kills said it best when ranking the SEC
“8. Arkansas
Good start. Now play somebody.”
