RCR's Ballots: Week 2

Some quick points about this week's polls: we didn't feel it fair to "punish" someone with a lower ranking by virtue of having a bye-week and rankings this early are stupid in the first damn place so chill.  Of course, comment.  If you argue well enough that we're just waaaay off on something, we can have it changed on our final ballot.

So BlogPoll First, PowerPoll after the jumpage.

Star-divide

And, no, I still haven't put together a funny table thingy.  Get off my damn back.  I've been busy-ish.

1. Florida - Tim Tebow.
2. Alabama - Ricky, despite having his Crimson Tide sit atop the West by a considerable margin and just a half-pube below the Gators, thinks this ranking is "GODDAMN HORSESHIT."  Tables be warned.
3. Ole Miss - While not having proven much of anything, the Rebels are still better than those ranked below them.
4 Georgia - Will the real Georgia Bulldogs please stand up?  The same goes for the Gamecocks.  Really though, why are the so-far disappointing Bulldogs ranked fourth?  Oh yeah, because they're still better than...
5. LSU - ...the LSU Tigers
6. Auburn - While not exactly having played the greatest competition, Auburn's offense is still noticeably very much improved.
7. Arkansas - I like to think that Arkansas would beat Auburn were they to play tomorrow.  However, Auburn actually has an SEC "victory" so they'll get the in-poll nod.
8. South Carolina - Garcia looked alright at times.  The Rebels' SEC opener worries me a bit more now.
9. Vanderbilt - No offense whatsoever.
9(t). Tennessee - Why Johnathan Crompton is still allowed to suit up is beyond me.
11. Kentucky - They'll end up giving somebody fits, because they always do, but make no mistake; the Kentucky Wildcats are as bad as they've been in years.
12. Mississippi State - Chris Relf + Tyson Lee - Stephen Garcia = Johnathan Crompton...  I think.

Why drop Bama

Even though USC had a good late game drive to beat OH St. I don’t think they should be bumped up. I think Bama beat a better team than OH St. in VA Tech. And they won more convincingly. Also I hate USC.

Agreed

Until we prove otherwise, I think Bama sits at 3.

Also, am I the only one that thinks Michigan is way too high at 21?

If people would like

and the Cuppers would oblige, I would share our individual ballots.

What say y’all?

I think tOSU is ranked too high

They have an unimpressive win against Navy in week 1, and despite a 4th quarter lead a loss to USC. Just doesn’t feel like they’re a top 15 team, but I hate them – 16.

USC and Bama are about even with resume, give Bama the edge since they’re SEC (SEC SEC SEC!!!1).

I realize it may be a great musical...

But, I still contend Oklahoma is way to high. The lost their only real game, their QB, and most importantly the best TE in the country. They are too high.

I think...

Southern Miss shouldn’t have fallen out, not until they lose to Kansas in 2 weeks (they will beat an 0-2 Virginia in Hattiesburg this coming Saturday).

I also think Houston should be a few spots higher.

I could quibble with you

but there’s really nothing to make me want to argue. I tend to agree Alabama should be no.3 but you’ve got time to inch them back up before our showdown with True Evil – which, by the way, their arrogant fans tend to dismiss out of hand.
