Oxford Regional: Day 2
Right now, the Missouri Tigers are taking on the Monmouth Darkwing Ducks. In the seventh, Missouri leads 8-0. The winner will face the loser of Western Kentucky and Ole Miss which takes place at 5.
Missouri is pitching Kyle Gibson, so the Rebels shouldn't fear facing him in this regional. However, the Western Kentucky bats should create enough fear for the Rebel nation.
Western Kentucky earned their 40th win last night and put 11 runs on Missouri. They are trying to advance to their first ever regional championship game.
There are some connections between West Kentucky and Ole MIss. Taylor Hightower is the younger brother of WKU outfielder and pitcher Matt Hightower. Also, WKU slugger Chad Cregar is from of Oxford, Miss.
These two teams met last season in Oxford and split a pair of midweek games. The last time they met in a regional, Western Kentucky beat Ole Miss by a score of 1-0 in the #1-#4 seed matchup. I'm sure Mike Bianco is looking for revenge.
Prediction: Ole Miss 11 Western Kentucky 8

Bring it on...
I’ve had 4 Volta margaritas and am working on a daiquiri from new bar, Funkys (really cool place, across from old parrishs) plus flask is filled with good buddy jack. Needless to say, there will be much heckling of blue and hilltopper left fielder (wtf is a hilltopper). See ya at swayze! Hotty toddy!
What do bama fans and maggots have in common? They can both live off a dead bear for years and years and years.
My prediction, fwiw
Ole Miss 6 WKU 4
If I predict it, there's an 50 percent chance it happens.
