Rebel of the Week Poll (11/15 - 11/21)

I added a little wrinkle to this week's Rebel of the Week Poll. We have decided to continue this segment through the year with other sports included. Thus, today, there is a basketball player included.

Please note: The Villanova game was not part of 11/15 - 11/21.

Poll
Who deserves to be named Rebel of the Week?

I voted for Emmanuel Stephens.

Shay is certainly worthy as is Dex; Jevan was a game manager but performed well on the final drive. My heart could have used a TD rather than a FG tho.

I think we made a couple of false start penalties, but overall our O-Line seemed to have their best game of the season. No sacks allowed. (I watch the skill players so if I’m not noticing them, that’s how it should be, no?)
After all the heat they’ve taken, they deserve mention for playing well.

I have been very (probably overly) critical of Sowell all year. However, the last of the false starts you mentioned was absolutely awful. It was called on Sowell and no one on the whole line moved a damn muscle.

Tough choices.

Could go to any of these Rebels. All played great this week. Dexter, where would we be without him and Shay and Jevan made plays when it counted. I had to vote for Emmanuel Stephens. The guy has been solid all year and the sack late in the game to take LSU out of field goal range was oh so HUGE.

The O-Line played a great game Sowell neutralized his man all night and Massie seems to have shored up the Line. Also, our interior DLine has been outstanding all year and they did not disappoint Saturday. Heck of a game!

As an LSU fan

I think Shay Hodge was the difference in the game. He belongs in any conversation about best Wide Receivers in the SEC. He went up against, arguably, the most talented secondary in the league, and he did very well.

Joshua Shene not an option?

4-4 from 45, 25, 33, and 23.

He was Automatic.

I'm pretty sure blocks don't count as misses

the only reason i say that is b/c i listened to David Kellum and the boys discuss this at length during the Vandy game, and they’re conclusion (based on what the press box was saying) was that blocks don’t go against the kicker. They, and therefore I, could be wrong.

What about Marshay Green?

That guy seemed to be everywhere at once.

Team Win

Voted for Shay because of his ability to get separation all night long against future NFLer(s), but the team as a whole was the Rebel of the Week. There were so many important contributions from so many: Dex, Jevan, Hartman (at least two kiler blocks), Shay, Neely, Jerry, Sowell (yes), Massie, Powe (despite the two offsides), Stephens, Lockett, Trahan, the coaches (six halfback pass…’nuff said). By the way, did anyone else see Powe absolutely upend the LSU center and place him flat on his back early in the game. That was stunning.

Yeah

Should have had Les Miles as a vote option. He was/is the Rebel of the Week. Not an Ole Miss Rebel, but a rebel none the less.

DAMN IT TO HELL!!! I WAS going to say something nice about LSU... but my clock ran out.
