Tuesday Question - 11/10/09
Generally, we are the "authors" of "content" around here - "here" being a blog and not a message board. Recognize, we do, that you've come here not to contribute, but to consume. Nevertheless, there is the sporadic occasion where, either for our benefit or for to exercise the thinkifiers of the masses, we ask you a question. Today's question is ...
Buy or sell: the Tennessee game will be the South Carolina game all over again.
I say, "probably."

Unfortunately
I think Tennessee is going to give us our worst beat-down all season. It’s going to be ugly and on national TV – so bad that Pete Boone will be begging CBS not to broadcast the LSU game and pleading with FSS to take it so not many people will see it.
Ole Miss football 2009. I shaved my balls for this?

this game scares me
They have started to play at a fairly high level, gaining confidence with each week. The staff is allowing Crompton to play to his strengths and the D is really stout.

Probably worse.
I think Tennessee is probably playing better on offense than South Carolina was then. Plus, our defense seems to have regressed a bit since then. Not a good combination for us.

I agree with the comments everyone is making.
I don’t like this match up on paper, but for some reason we opened as a 2.5 point favorite, and the line has been bet to 4.5 or 5.0 points on most sites.
That means not only did Vegas think we are going to win, but the betters are betting fairly heavily on us to win.
Someone knows something I don’t. That’s all I know.
i sure hope not
we are the favorites in this, which i know is usually a death sentence for the rebels. but tennessee isn’t that great. crompton is overrated, i’m hoping that nutt’s november magic of last year wasn’t just for last year.
and i seriously hope we beat tennessee because they have the biggest percentage of sidewalk/fair weather fans of any team in the country, which is why neland stadium is so big.
