Not Anymore Confident About 'Bama...

…than I was last week, but it’s good to beat an SEC opponent on the road. Yeah, Vandy counts. (Incidentally, expect the Ole Miss Bashers to lay low this week, and should we not beat ‘Bama, to reemerge out from under their rocks, letting us know that we’re back to being "Same old Ole P*ss, beating Vandy is your only win, blah blah blah…)

The Hogs did an absolute number on the Aggies today. While I have no love for Arkansas, it is fun that they ran up the score on Jerry Jones’ alma mater in his billion dollar monument to himself. I don’t think we can expect the Hogs to roll over and die come Oct. 24.

Any SEC road win is a good win

Congrats to the Rebs for beating Vandy. The ‘Dores have (ahem), beaten the Gamecocks twice in a row and even the most loyal Carolina fan cannot say for certain whether Vandy will make it three or not – this isn’t the ‘old’ Vandy anymore. They can play, they can recruit and they can beat just about anybody in the middle of the SEC herd despite their record.

Good luck against ‘Bama. Y’all will be home. It is the big game. You’re 1-1 in the league with no division losses. It’s anyone’s game in the West. The team that wants it most will take it. I will be rooting for Ole Miss, even if a win makes it that much more likely the Tide will Roll when USC comes calling in two weeks at Bryant-Denny. Such is life.
