Really? We're still going with the guy who Vermont pounded? Really? Then again we all thought Bittle sucked two years ago when he was giving up every lead we had starting with SEC play. But still, my patience with Bianco is starting to wear thin.

Hopefully we won't have to use Bittle much on Friday or Saturday so that when Barrett gives up 9,000 runs on Sunday, Scott can get some quality relief innings.

Seriously, going into your first SEC weekend, you're going to throw the guy out there that has a 9+ ERA?

I understand that Bianco thinks he's going to get it turned around, but you don't work on turning things around during SEC play.

Let him get some midweek starts to see if he can find his stuff. You don't keep throwing him to the fire. Unreal. Pom and Irwin better get it going this weekend. That, or our bats better be awake on Sunday.

I worry about Bianco's favoritism. It's so obvious. He's way too reluctant to give up on a player, even when the player has failed to perform.

I also question any manager who sacrifice bunts a runner from second to third with no outs in the first inning. Even Whitey Herzog would question that lunacy.

Also, Nathan Baker will start Tuesday and Brett "The 'Stach" Bukvich will start Wednesday.

There's always the possibility that Baker or Buk could slide into that Sunday role if they put together quality starts with consistency.

I don't understand why we don't pitch Barbeck on Sundays. I know he hasn't shown good stuff, but at least he's a freshman. Barrett is a junior who will be gone in a year and a half.

The only way you get better is if you practice, and (un)fortunately, that practice comes in game situations. Barrett needs to settle down, something that is going to take a little time. Like others have stated, look at Bittle- aren't we glad Bianco didn't give up on him?

And Barbeck? wasn't he the one who struggled like crazy against Arkansas State last week? Right now, I'll take Barrett over Barbeck.

Have a little faith...
