Around SBN: Raiders' GM Begins The Purge

Be My Valentine, Kimber

One of our "sources" found this stuck to the Kennedy family refrigerator. It's totally legit and wasn't at all written by me at work just now. Pinky-promise.

Sensitive medical information has been edited out to protect the "innocent."

Ink drying on the 12th game contract. Was complicated. Sought BCS opponent in another region of the country -- Houston said might as well go to West Coast. Pete got ESPN involved. They wanted Rebs vs. Trojans. Pete jumped on it. Houston, seeing what they (ESPN) were trying to do (knock us out before the race even started) said he would only play the Trojans if it was the last game of the year.

So, back to the drawing board. ESPN approached UCLA. They already had date with TN. So, they go to TN. TN said they would opt out of their game on the 12th if ESPN would bring Gameday to Knoxville, so the boys in Bristol agreed to come October 3 (Auburn).

That meant Ole Miss had to move some stuff around, which we obviously did. Pete complicated things on Monday, demanding a return game in 2013. UCLA balked. Back to Knoxville, they threatened to go. ESPN calmed Pete down. Promised the ABC Saturday night slot (first national broadcast) and the Gameday crew for Oct. 10 (Alabama). On a side note, apparently with the new ESPN/SEC broadcast contract, they are giving away gameday crew spots like candy.

So, Rebs get Bruins in Pasadena on national TV on Sept. 12. Win it and we're off to the races.

Should be announced Saturday for the Sunday press.

Carry on...

Not True, but I do expect a Gameday in the grove this year.

UCLA? Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!

Try Northwestern State.

Oh, and you can forget about GameDay. So can, Tennessee. Not gonna happen.

There is no way that's true. You will, however, become an anonymous legend if you are proven correct.
