The SEC is Lightyears Ahead of the Ivy League

...with regards to minority coaching!

Y'all already know my feelings on this subject. If this doesn't further prove my point then I don't know what will. Of course, I shouldn't diminish Tom Williams' accomplishment just to prove my point so I send him, his family, and Yale my congratulations. Looking at his resume, he's had some pretty solid assistant jobs (Washington, Stanford, Jacksonville Jaguars) and could do well for the Bulldogs.

As a Jags season ticket holder, I think this was a great hire for Yale and a dumb decision by Williams. He had to make up for an offense that didn't have any of its starters on the o-line and several old, overpaid and overrated wide receivers. Every game was still really close because the defense held teams in check despite being on the field most of every game. If Tom had waited a few more years he would have had a big time head coaching job, but he took a dead end job instead. It's a huge loss in the long term for black coaches, and a huge loss for every football fan to see such a good coach throw away his carreer.
