Bye Week Hate Week!
You know what, forget it.
I was going to try to talk shit to our upcoming opponent of nobody, but I can't muster up the energy. Furthermore, I really don't mind bye weeks all that much. While I'd certainly love to see Ole Miss on Saturday, I feel that this gives me an opportunity to let my hatred for LSU and those DAMNED ULM WARHAWKS fester to genocidal proportions. And, since Ole Miss can't possibly lose, I'll undoubtedly have a good time.
However, I will be facing a bit of a dilemma.
With regards to the LSU/Bama game, I haven't a clue as to who I should pull for. Barring the apocalypse or, at the very least, a huge sub-Baton Rouge sinkhole falling through, someone will leave Tiger Stadium victorious. While seeing LSU slip to 3rd in the West after we trounce them in a few weeks (you bet your ass I'm callin' it) would be sweeter 'n Grandma's coconut cake, watching Alabama's national title hopes geaux down the shitter would be just as wonderful.
What is a furtive bloggeur to do?
Eh, well, either way I'll be glued to a TV; something grilled in one hand, something potent in the other, and sporting a snide-ass grin on my face.
Remember, we're taking a week off from winning while State's taking a week off from losing. Refreshing, isn't it?

And technically we'd get listed ahead of them in the standings, so you can pull for LSU.
I won't necessarily be pulling for LSU myself, because I can't make myself do that. However, I will be not necessarily be pulling against them. I can't stand Alabama at No. 1. If they lose, great. If Bama wins, then LSU loses.
If you take that as a half full approach, you can say that the good news is that they both can't win.

I'm not pulling for either team I just want to hurt each other. With LSU catching the brunt of the hurtness.

You pull for LSU.
1) When Alabama loses to the Tigahs, many things will unfold. First, Alabama is a team of quitters. They quit in the second half against Clemson, GA and the Rebels. They quit at the end of last year after getting beat by the Tigahs. They will quit again at the end of this year, losing to the Tigahs, then losing to State and Auburn. I am I crazy? Maybe, but if history means anything, they did do it last year.
2) What this means for the Rebs. If Bama loses out...and then the Rebs win out...Hotel rooms in ATL are then essential, along with as many tickets that one can buy/then scalp to the SEC Championship, cuz then FL will get its chance at revenge. Of course if this does happen, there is just as likely a chance that the Rebs will get a revenge shot at Vandy or SC in the championship game. Still, you pull for LSU for the following reason.
3) Fuck Nick Saban. No explanation needed but here is a good one. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/64732-why-does-lsu-hate-nick-saban
Yes I realize this is a prop piece for Saban, but he is the only reason LSU is good (the hat has only kept them good), and for that, Fuck you Saban.

LSU beats Alabama. We beat LSU. We feel better, we have the head-to-head with LSU.
State beats Alabama. State feels better. Temporarily. Then we kick State's arse in the Egg Bowl and we keep them from being bowl eligible. That means we feel better.
Auburn beats Alabama. Tubberville stays, we have a chance to beat him aGAIN. That means we feel better.
We win the west, go to Atlanta, beat LSU, keep State from being bowl eligible, and get to make Tommy our bitch again. If you can make a better scenario than that, I'll pull for Alabama.

Root for Bama. It'll make it even sweeter when Tubby ruins their hopes or when Florida crushes them in Atlanta. Either way, they will not win a nat'l championship this year.
Also, fuck LSU.

Roll Tide Roll! We will win out and you can take comfort in the fact that you played a good second half against the National Champions!
