Around SBN: The Eternal Unpredictability of the 2011-12 Boston Celtics

Milestones

I don't know how these site-counters work (though, I feel confident someone out there will be so kind as to advise me), but I can read. And I see that, apparently, some combination of 100,000 viewers (maybe just ten people ten thousand time each, who knows?) have stopped by our little joint.

That's like, almost as many people went to watch Tennessee almost get embarrassed by Northern Illinois.

Or, to put it in brighter terms, more than three times as many people as watched the ACC Championship game last year.

100,000 cocktails go out to you, internets. May you continue bringing beleaguered Rebel fans, Rebel friends, respected adversaries, and Arkansas fans to our humble home.

Warm fuzzies.

But seriously, I do like this Blog. Come here often but first time poster.

A counter is incremented once every time the web page is visited. Unfortunately, this also includes every time Google, Yahoo!, Ask.com, etc... sends their computers looking for websites. Also, it doesn't count unique visitors - if I were to hit refresh 10 times, the counter would increase by 10.

That said, 100,000 is a lot of page hits for a relatively new blog. Congratulations, RSC!

Goose, shut the hell up. Don't bring that nerdy garbage in here and piss in our corn flakes. BTW, it DOES count unique visitors and only allows an IP to register once in a given time period, so your little counter analogy is useless. Eat that one.

I was going to write a long piece thanking all of our visitors, posters, readers, etc but Ivory stole my thunder. Suffice it to say that when we started the Cup back in March, we thought that maybe we'd average 100 or so folks a day.

Right now we're at about 900.

Other blogs would laugh in our faces with our puny count of 900 but, for a blog with a pretty specific scope (Ole Miss fans who aren't afraid of painful realism, booze/sex references, and the word "fuck") I'd say we're doing just fine.

Thanks everyone. Seriously. We're incredibly psyched and a little dumbfounded that you like our nonsense so much.

Keep coming.

RSC is the funniest blog in the SEC. Congrats.

Personally, I could do without the F word. It adds nothing to your comments. But I know people like it for the shock factor, which I assume is your reasoning.

Ghost and Whiskey are loose cannons. They are the Doc Hollidays to the rest of our Wyatt Earps. Of course, this means they are fun and crazy right now, but while we are making an honest woman out of the sultry, tempting thespianess, they will, undoubtedly, catch TB (and Heaven knows what else) and spend their final excruciating days with Big Nosed Kate.

We won't throw stones, though. I at least feel pretty sure that when the day comes that I have to shoot somebody, Whiskey will crawl out of bed and plant one between my enemy's eyes for me.

Congratulations guys. This is a constant source of procrastination for me during most of my classes.

Ivory- do you really think Whiskey will be sober enough to shoot someone? I'd go with Mookie.

The only hundred thousand of anything you have are sling blade sumbitches.
How about you use Whiskey to lube your cornhole the next time one comes by for a date?

Nah, KY works just fine.
