A Tale of Two Quarterbacks

It was the best of times,

it was the worst of times.

Guess who has an all time winning record against Florida? Georgia, you say? Well, yeah, they do. Tennessee? Not so fast. LSU? Nope.

How about the motherfucking Ole Miss motherfucking Rebels. 12-10-1, bitches. What a great 24 hours for Ole Miss.

Congrats again.

On TV somewhere (CBS?) they said it was 11-11. Impressive either way. (Of course you don't play in their division now that they're a good program and only catch them four times a decade, but we're similarly pretty close to Auburn I think.)

Was Tuberville the last Ole Miss coach to lose in Gainesville?

Yes.

This best weekend in Ole Miss history. Period.

Did you see our boy? That's the Jevan we needed! The last pass to Hodge went 36 yards ON A ROPE!

Now the question becomes, will Whiskey Wednesday return from self-imposed exile? Is a mere week of emotional introspection really enough time to find one's self in the widening contexts of Kentrell Lockett, Ole Miss football, and the Cosmos? Does he now regret NOT going to Florida, or is that, in fact, the reason we won?

A very small handful of people saw this one coming, and I was not among them. I wished I would have watched this one today, but I was too busy gettin my drink on for a very mediocre output by us against State tonight. Congrats boys, this is a great one for you.

Coupled with OBama's big win, the SEC West isn't exactly the scorned lil brother that the East thought we were.

Artiger,

I like you. Maybe it's the booze talking, but seriously, you need to stick around. Keep it coming.

Well, thank you, I'll keep checking in. Could be the beer on my end as well.

And, Cutler, I don't think you'll see too much Hogtalk this week.

Is that an LSU fan complimenting us? I think a pig just flew by my window. This win was certainly an upset, but Florida had not been tested yet and we are some bullshit away from being 4-0 before the game. It was nice to see a defensive stop to finish it after the way the Wake game ended.

Please remember, fellas, that while this victory feels great for us, it feels even better for LSU, who just took a huge step up in the polls from the three guys who drop this weekend. It makes sense that a tiger would be happy with this one.

Damn right I'm happy about it. I'm even more happy that Arky gets to absorb the brunt of the Gates' frustration next week, before we have to head to the Swamp the following week.

I am genuinely happy for the Rebs in this one. As far as moving up the polls, well, that's nice, but being high up this early earns you a nice bullseye on your backside, everyone brings their A game to play you. You saw it yesterday, and we saw it some last year.
